Construction work often requires a successful translocation of flora and fauna. With our experiment, we investigate whether the soil-overwintering vernal bee (Colletes cunicularius) can be translocated and established in a new location.

We assess the number of bees emerging from lightly to heavily treated and translocated soil with help of emergence traps.

GRKaefig.jpg In the larger bee cage, we test whether bees start nesting again under these artificial conditions.
