Research

Environmental scientist with a passion for the intersection of ecology, environmental law and policy. I am driven by the need to understand ecosystem dynamics from an interdisciplinary perspective, exploring how human activities and environmental change affect natural systems. My focus is on helping to balance human needs with environmental sustainability by integrating scientific evidence into the decision-making process. I am currently working as a Research Associate on the WildPosh project, where I will be helping to investigate the effects of different pesticides and their formulations on pollinator species, particularly hoverflies and butterflies. This research is linked to the first work package (WP1) of the WildPosh project, which aims to develop a monitoring scheme to identify sources of pesticide exposure in different environmental matrices. As part of the project, I will also be working on my own PhD proposal, which investigates the extent of pollinator consideration in the recent EU approval of the extended use of glyphosate.
