Different habitats as well as the structural elements and resources they contain are my main area of interest. I am particularly interested how insects use our cultural landscape as a habitat and how they interact with each other on the ecological level. Therefore, in my doctorate, I occupy myself with how different habitat qualities affect the gender ratio as well as the biomass of solitary bees and wasps. My aim is to disentangle the complex relations of fundamental interactions between habitat and insects and hope to shed more light on those processes in order to understand these fascinating creatures better.

Current project: Sex determination and biomass allocation in response to habitat quality”.
